“The Write Context” is about business people doing writing, not writing people doing business. The idea of a specific focus on preparing and supporting business documentation was started by Paul Barrow more than six years ago. Paul has over 20 years of operations, project, contract and commercial management experience in the offshore oil industry, followed by several years of business planning and contract specialisation primarily in the telecoms and IT sector.
Writing has always been important to Paul and despite the unquestionably high technical standards prevailing within most industries he was always struck by the variable standard of documentation, particularly project documents, tenders and so on. In many cases, despite the technical excellence, some of the written work left a lot to be desired in terms of structure and content.

“The Write Context” combines many years of business experience with quality writing skills, working with companies to help them get their message across; to ensure that they are seen in the ‘Right Context’. This process is not just about drafting copy from an abstract briefing; rather it focuses on combining business experience and understanding into clear expression.
